Come with whatever you have. A date helps, a location helps, and examples of photos or videos you love help a lot, but none of it is required. How do I book a session with Amy?
Send the form on this page. Amy replies herself, you talk through the idea and the date, and every project then starts with a discovery questionnaire so she walks in knowing your goals. Your date locks in once the deposit is paid. Nothing on her side is automated, which is why the reply comes with real questions about your project.
What deposit does a booking take?
Photography sessions take a 30% nonrefundable deposit, with the balance due the day of the shoot. A content day is secured with a $200 deposit; the day-rate balance is due on the content day and the deliverables balance when your edits are ready. Every rate behind those numbers is published, so you can check the math yourself before you commit.
How fast will I get my photos?
Photography galleries are delivered in about a week. If you need them sooner, expedited delivery under 5 days is available by inquiry. Working against a specific deadline? Put the date in the form.
Does Amy travel to me?
Yes, every session is on location. Travel is billed by distance from her base: $30 for 15 to 20 miles, $50 for 20 to 30 miles, $70 for 30 to 50 miles, and $90 past that. She also takes projects in New York City, priced by inquiry. Travel is quoted with the session, so the total is settled before you ever pay a deposit.
What if I'm not sure what to book?
Pick "Something else" in the form and describe what you're trying to make. Plenty of projects start as a half-idea, and sorting the right session type is exactly what the first conversation is for. You won't be quoted for anything until you know what it is.
Can I hire Amy for my business?
That's half her work. Businesses book her for content days, ongoing monthly content, headshots and branding sessions, and event coverage. Start with the content day page or go straight to the form and pick the business option.
Can I book Amy for an event?
Yes. Business and special events start at $475 and are quoted by inquiry, since coverage varies event to event. Birthday sessions are $400. Send the date, the venue and what's happening, and she'll confirm availability with a quote. Her event portfolio includes launch parties, quinceaneras and business gatherings around Baltimore.
Where do sessions happen?
On location: your home, your business, a park, a venue, or a backdrop setup Amy brings to the shoot. Family sessions include one backdrop or location, and extra backdrops are $50 in black, pink, red or beige. If you don't have a spot in mind, say so in the form and she'll suggest one that fits the session. Anywhere from downtown Baltimore out to the parks around Bel Air and Havre de Grace is fair game.
How long is a session?
A family session runs an hour, with one outfit and up to 4 people included, plus $40 for each extra person. A content day runs about 6 to 7 hours. Other sessions vary with the package, and the first conversation settles the schedule before anything is booked.
How many photos do I get?
A family session delivers 30 edited digitals. Other packages are quoted with their deliverables up front, so you'll know the count before you pay a deposit. Content days are measured in edited videos instead, at $150 per video.
Does Amy bring props or outfits?
Some, yes. Maternity clients can rent a dress from her collection for $60, in red, royal blue, light blue and pink across M through XL sizing. Family sessions include one backdrop or theme, and extra backdrops are available. Your own wardrobe questions are fair game for the first conversation too.
Can the session be a surprise?
Surprise proposals are a specialty. Amy works as a Baltimore proposal photographer who plans the timing and her position in advance, so the moment is covered without giving anything away. Brandon G. booked one and called it a process he'll never forget.
What should my message include?
Three things get the fastest useful reply: the date or rough timeframe, the location or area, and what you want the photos or videos to do for you. If you have references or examples, mention that too and Amy will ask for them. Long messages are welcome; she'd rather have too much context than too little.
